I have 3 GT710s which I swapped out the high end cards when running CPU only for more than a few weeks. It saves about 5W compare to 1080ti, iirc. This translates to about 840Whr per week of power savings. With three PCs that's about 2.5kWhr. I think GT 710 is the most efficient card for a desktop. ...

I started with virtualbox and then switched to windows hyper-v. Did see some improvement due to hyper-v been closer to bare metal.
