Roughly 1Km wide that thing could do some serious damage if it hits us.

Re: Remote access of networked machines
I will say with TeamViewer I could not change the resolution. It would be stuck on a low resolution. Anydesk I can change it. The rig I tested it on was running Windows 10, but I'm pretty sure it works on my Windows 7 PC with discrete graphics cards. It runs headless and I have to remote into it oft...

Didn't realize the team was running this. I switched some of my rigs over to it late last night.

Re: Remote access of networked machines
Ah, I have never ran teamviewer on an Intel HD graphics processor. All my rigs have a GPU of some sort running on it. With that being said. ...I was wrong on that. I do run one system with HD Graphics. I was just checking to make sure my next statement was correct in that you can change the resoluti...

Re: Pfizer/BioNtech covid-19 vaccine looks encouraging
I just heard a radio broadcast interview with the leader of an immunological and vaccine research team of Berlin Charité. The discussion turned to the sometimes very low efficiency of vaccines against seasonal flu. In this context, he stated that corona viruses have a significantly lower mutation r...

Re: Broke my phone pretty badly...
Well I decided to just email the codes, information, etc.. for each account to my gmail account. I just put the codes in the message and put lots of key words for whatever I may be searching for when trying to track them down so they'll turn up. Otherwise, you're right. Even if I did have my phone y...

Re: Broke my phone pretty badly...
Didn't realize getting all my 2FA accounts transferred to my new phone WITHOUT having an old phone was gonna be so difficult. Just glad it's, so far, not impossible. but all the accounts I'm trying to get on the new phone have so far only required I send them a selfie picture with my ID and a handwr...

Re: Remote access of networked machines
What are these "dummy monitor plugs" and why are you using them? I don't have any dummy plugs on any of my remote machines and they all work just fine. I've only used a monitor on them to initially set them up, but once I did that nothing is plugged into the GPUs. Also, you can edit the cc...

Re: Remote access of networked machines
I ditched TeamViewer a few months back because I got tired of them flagging me as commercial use. Before it wasn't that difficult to get it over turned, but the last time over a week went by and I still wasn't able to access some of the rigs despite going through the "im using these personally&...

If you got a x16 slot open for a GPU then the obvious answer is a 3080 and let that baby work!

As others have said. Search engines use "bots" to crawl the Internet. It's how the results of your search engine (such as Google) show up when searched.

Definitely SIL fault there especially if the girl knew something was off and told him but he did nothing. Most girls don't know crap about the workings of a car and how dangerous something like that can be.
Wow.
Wow.

Re: Broke my phone pretty badly...
Ah yeah, the battery. That was another thing I was concerned about. How well the battery life would be on a used phone since I can't remove it. So far, the battery has preformed as well (if not better) than the Pixel it replaced. I generally always buy a new phone when I need a new daily, but I'm ti...

Re: Broke my phone pretty badly...
No, haven't used them. After I cracked the screen on my other Pixel I just got on google and looked up used phones. Found backmarket and gave them a shot. Didn't bother cross shopping or looking else where for better prices or anything. I felt $350 was a fair price for an immaculate Pixel 3 XL 128GB...

Re: Broke my phone pretty badly...
Well I do recommend backmarket, but check the phone when you receive it to make sure it's what you ordered. Both phones I got from them were in excellent shape cosmetically. Just the first one was a 64GB model when I had paid for a 128GB model. They refunded me 100% with no hassle. Just took about a...

Re: Broke my phone pretty badly...
Yes, the phone in the OP finally stopped working completely. On a road trip to a new job the phone went into an endless bootloop and nothing I did could stop it. That phone is gone now. I used Backmarket to order a Pixel 3 XL 128GB black model again and received what I ordered for around $350. Been ...

Re: Used CPU Discussion
I think the best bang for your buck Distributed Computing CPU will be AMD Ryzen based CPUs. Even first generation such as the 1950x or the first generation epyc CPUs. They're cheaper than Intel based on core count alone and usually have more cores than Intel does which distributed computing can util...

Well I like the hidden factor for competitions. I don't like that there are not more controls in competitions. What kind of control do you want? It should not be that hard to make sure that new participants can't jump into new teams at the last minute? Well maybe it is. I disagree with this. These ...

I've been following this since the first damage that happened to to.
They think the way the cable is anchored is flawed. Which means all of the cables may end up breaking unless they can fix them.
With a second cable breaking it's not looking good.

well I can say there is nothing in the North Carolina town you said it was shipped from. While I haven't driven through that specific town personally. I have driven that area on the way to the beach many, many times. The North Carolina and South Carolina State lines along that area are very much und...
