[iThena] First summary of a major SBG Strasbourg incident

Post by BOINC_News »

On March 10, 2021, a major fire occurred in the datacenter area of Strasbourg (OVH).

In the incident, one component of the iThena project was completely destroyed.

Another component located in SBG3 was temporarily shut down (only power sections destroyed). According to OVH, the SBG3 infrastructure we use should be up and running around March 22, 2021.

There may be issues with the iThena project applications.
These issues will completely disappear when the SBG3 zone is fully restored by OVH engineers.

At the same time, our team has developed improvements in the application code to fix such problems in the future.

You are welcome to test the new version of iThena CNODE application (v1.18b1).
