Re: Ideas/Suggestions
Yeah, even if the site/forum does stay up, the membership will gradually drop w/o a front end draw from articles. Either from people actively leaving or attrition. That goes for general forum membership and BOINC participation. I've seen it several times as the front end tech page goes away, so does...

Re: Ideas/Suggestions
Yep, the site died with the introduction of discord. I always thought it odd for the desire for a great BOINC site but to move all the needed content elsewhere.

Re: AMD Epyc 7H12 Power Readings
Damn, I missed the end of PRST tasks notification on the PGFN main page. Like 4k hours away from my 26k WUProp hours goal. I have like 2/3 of the remaining tasks but it's not enough hours once they timeout. No wonder there have been none.

Re: AMD Epyc 7H12 Power Readings
Like many PG CPU apps, PRST slows down with too many concurrent tasks on my 5950s so I limit the # of threads and let the other threads run something else.

Re: [ADSL] The project has been stopped
I saw that too several days after it was posted and also switched my CPUs towards it while there was a Dennis batch. I got 1mil milestone and then saw that tasks were added to send out. I almost posting below her saying she needs to learn BOINC, Top to bottom from server to the science and everythin...

That admin starts whole new projects instead of just making another app. This wouldn't be the first occurrence.

New BOINC SPT project

Another project, similar to T.Brada, ODLK, Latine Squares. Can the team be created with the official account?

Re: [Gerasim@home] Gerasim@home:
Is there only one set of project preferences available, Home? I couldn't see where to select another type so I could setup a client for CPU and another for GPU only work.

I got some of theses tasks today. Still a good chuck of memory usage.

Re: [climateprediction.net] Linux work *perhaps* coming up in quantity
I picked up 6x of these. Initial ETA is 18 days. After 11:38 it is at 19% done so nowhere close to 18 days on a 1950x fully loaded CPU on all threads. Some other HadSM4 tasks also running. 3.7GB mem 4.2GB virtual.

Re: [climateprediction.net] Linux work *perhaps* coming up in quantity
I usually get some tasks but only let a few run at once. Then gradually release some to run as others finish. the 216 tasks took awhile. Even on my 5950x the SM4 N144 tasks are taking 2.5 days

Re: [SRBase] New llr2 app test
Slower The latest results for windows and linux are good so far, removed the beta flag so more users can get work now. The speed against the old llr is not so fine. On a 3950x you will loose around 6min. Collecting more results to find out how its working. AVX512 support with <app_version> <app_name...

This post worked for me on a W10 install I never update. Even with Git for windows tasks would still immediately abort.

Oink like a pig but with a B in front. I guess I've never heard someone else say it.
