So it seems BOINC has a system setup to prove you're the account owner to external sites.
https://boinc.berkeley.edu/trac/wiki/ProofOfOwnership
However, I have not been able to locate a project (i've checked around 10 of them) that offers this.
Does anyone know of a project that has this enabled?

Site updates
Nothing much to report yet, but I'll try to keep everyone updated on the progress. The team reached out to me earlier this morning with a ton of questions about the operation. Unfortunately, they know absolutely nothing about BOINC and how it works. So most of the questions were about how the stats ...

Re: Cost of building the site.
Crashtech donated $250. Thanks for helping out.
I made a payment of $2080 so they can begin building the site. The remaining ~$2000 will be due upon completion. They estimated about 2 months to build it.

Today I will be paying 50% of the cost for them to start work on it. Then the remaining balance will be due when the site is finished.

Cost of building the site.
I've been quoted $3499 to $3999 to build the site. We'll be setting up a gofundme or kickstarter page as well as direct PayPal donations if anyone would be interested in helping. So far; $340 for the server + 6 months of co-location. $340 will be due in another 6 months for the remaining balance on ...

Re: Server ordered
Server is setup and running now.
Just got to get the SSL Cert setup for the domains and she'll be ready.
Still working things out with the company who I've reached out to for building the site. Should have a quote on how much it costs in the next day or two.

I also bought boingames.com. So we can use either b-games.org or boincgames.com

Bought a server to host this.
It's a dual Intel L5640 Xeon with 32GB RAM and two, 2TB SATA drives. Server will be in a datacenter with a 1Gbps connection.
Hope this will handle whatever load the site generates.

Suggestions and Ideas
I would really like to hear suggestions and ideas from all teams who would like to participate. My goal here is to not make this a "one man" show, but have multiple people from multiple teams all working together to make this work. This should alleviate the burden of one single person runn...

If apache needs to be restarted then something is broken, but setting up scripts to ensure apache is running and start if necessary is easy to do. I get what you're saying though and that is my ultimate goal.

Re: b-games.org
I was thinking. Let teams choose which "league" (any ideas on what to call each besides league?) They want. To help keep the powerful teams from dominating a lower tiered league I intend to have stats similar to how SG does the Pent with hourly update totals, -12H, -24H, etc... For the big...

Re: b-games.org
I've been thinking about the multiple league part and not sure what to do about that. More specifically, how to determine who goes where. Was waiting for someone else to bring that up to see their opinion on it. If we can figure out a fair way to have more than one league then each league will run a...

Lots to reply to here, but one thing I want to address before I get home from work. So far I've come up with; Marathons that run for the entire year. These marathons will be broken up into 4 segments of 3 months. Every 3 months, the standings are final and those points are permanent until the next year. If the project goes away, for whatever reason, it gives the ability for a new p...

Bought a domain. Now I just need to get a list together of all the features and what not the site will be capable of. Then I can hire a programmer to code it for me and a site designer to design it.
With that being said, let the ideas flow.
