Re: Installing NVIDIA Drivers - Debian 10

Installing the NVIDIA drivers via the *.RUN file will not allow you to install any GPU device utilities such as NVTOP. It will complain about something being left over from the previous install, then if you try to remove/uninstall it it will just uninstall the drivers completely and you'll be withou...

I seen that too but it doesn't come with CPUs or RAM. So it's going to cost a good bit more.

Re: eBay: 1U GPU server setups

I think it depends on ambient temp a lot. I have a 1U server in my apartment and I run it under full 100% load. As long as the temp in my apartment is 70F or lower it's no louder than my other rigs, but when it starts getting warm in the apartment then the fans start cranking up and its the loudest ...

Re: eBay: 1U GPU server setups

Well this won't require "modified" cooling for GPUs that are passive such as the P100 or S9150. I don't think that system would draw 1000W. The CPUs full draw would be probably around 200W and if going with P100 then each one of them are drawing ~175W. Which is less than 1000W combined. Al...

So its pronounced with a heavy B and K at the end? Thats how the video pronounces it. Thought I posted the video. Sorry. Its in the first post now. edit This is how I pronounced it. Like Bionic. Similar to Bionic Six, the cartoon from the 90s I used to watch. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=JZ...

How do you pronounce "BOINC"

Do you give it a name or just say the letters individually?

I pronounce is like "BYE UN IC"

But after watching a video I think I might be pronouncing it incorrectly.

I haven't tried installed AMD drivers on Linux yet, so I do not know. Well, I take that back. I tried with a 280X, but I couldn't get the system to boot with the card installed. So will have to figure out something else (Card might be broken for all I know)
