Well if @Icecold doesn't want them together, I could split them up.

Re: FS: 2x E5-2678v3

The Xeons really seem to hold their own in PrimeGrid in particular. I wish I had more space and more capacity because I'd just put these back in service.

Re: FS: 2x E5-2678v3

Do you happen to know what model of motherboard these were successfully running in @crashtech ? I've run them in an ASUS Z10PC-D8/SAS and a Supermicro X10DRL-i. I'm confident that they should work in pretty much any aftermarket 2011-3 board, since the 2680v3 on which the 2678v3 is based had BIOS su...

Re: FS: 2x E5-2678v3

I have them, but I don't know if they will work in a Dell. I guess I could send them if you want to try them. Maybe if they don't work you could send them to @Icecold, he expressed a passing interest in having them if no one else picked them up.

FS: 2x E5-2678v3

Twin Xeons fresh out of one of my DC rigs. Too lazy to take photos. The tops of the HSFs are marred by whoever had them before me, but they work.

$100 shipped to the US via Priority Mail.

I'm always thinking about density, but it's certainly true that 2 systems would allow more GPUs.

Re: Alpha Testing Ready

I changed my name to the generated one in Primegrid days ago, but b-games did not validate me. So now I have changed it in Collatz. PrimeGrid hasn't been added to boincgames yet. They have their stats files behind a passworded directory. Waiting on them to give me access as they said it will take a...

Huh, still have to do that weird thing where you change your username in a BOINC project to their random string for ~24 hours or so? That's so weird and annoying.

Re: Cost of building the site.

Part of the reason I would do a recurring donation would not just be to help with the ongoing cost, but to pay you back over time for what you have put out. It may look like I make a lot of money by my output, but actually I am just crazy and spend waaaaay more than I should on DC.

I can cough up something in September. Also I'm willing to set up a recurring donation. Seems like all this might be tough if it's just you plus the three of us, though.

Re: Volunteers to help run and maintain the site

Make sure you edit the start and stop time. The Sprint is scheduled to start at 25 minutes after the hour. I think they'll be better to start on the hour, since the stats will update on the hour. Also, do not select the Sprint project. Make sure it's set so a random sprint will be selected. I know ...

Re: Volunteers to help run and maintain the site

I have no qualifications for such work, but I am willing to help/learn as long as the damage I'm able to inflict during inevitable mistakes can be easily fixed (having current backups, limiting the scope of my power, etc.). That said, you'd be better off with someone a little closer to the IT biz th...
